Some of the comments here really highlight how much of Western understanding of other cultures is entirely based on mainstream media.

It shouldn't be surprising that people outside of North America and Europe also have weddings, and that their brides often wear white, too. In fact, many non-Western cultures hold multiple ceremonies to cover different traditions. I had three weddings myself, including a Western-style "white wedding" where my partner wore a dress just like this, despite being from South Asia.

While images like this are great for starting a dialogue, it’s genuinely concerning how little the most powerful nations know about the regions they constantly try to influence. Hopefully, conversations like this are a step toward better global understanding.
