A conjoined twin has responded after being accused of "hating" her sister's husband, while her sibling has also revealed details about her family planning aspirations.

Carmen and Lupita Andrade, 25, are joined at the torso and share a reproductive system, liver and bloodstream. Each twin possesses one leg, though they have separate hearts and stomachs. This past October, Carmen marked her first wedding anniversary with her husband, Daniel McCormack. The couple initially met on Hinge back in 2020 before tying the knot in an intimate ceremony.

Yet, despite the couple's strong relationship, some online commentators have implied that Lupita disapproves of the union. The sisters, who were born in Mexico but raised in a small Connecticut town, discussed their lives openly in a candid interview. This follows Lupita's disclosure about what she must do while Daniel and Carmen are intimate.

During a visit to Rosanna Pansino's Rodiculous Podcast, host Rosanna inquired about the most common misconceptions about them. Carmen responded: "I think that we argue or fight a lot more than we do." Lupita immediately jumped in with: "That I hate her husband!"

Rosanna confirmed she had "saw that on the news" before Lupita set the record straight, explaining: "I'm the one who said, 'You should choose that guy - he seems harmless.'" Carmen went on to describe her sister as her "wingman" and brushed off what she called a "weird misconception" that there was any friction surrounding her relationship, reports the Mirror US.

Despite now "loving Daniel like a brother", Lupita did offer a refreshingly candid take on one of her sister's former partners. She described Carmen's ex-boyfriend as "horrid" before her sister laughed: "Yeah, nobody here is afraid of saying anything or speaking up." Flashing a smile, Lupita made her position crystal clear: "I hate him."

When the conversation turned to the possibility of Carmen and Daniel starting a family down the road, she offered a considered response.

She revealed that within six months of dating, they had both decided that parenthood wasn't in the cards for either of them, which suited them both just fine.

Carmen explained: "Personally we are infertile as well as just... since I was little, I never really thought of like being a parent, if that makes any sense. Especially as nobody thought I would actually be in a relationship when I was growing up or anything.

"So they never really had that like discussion of what options are there and things like that."

Both she and her sister had previously taken on babysitting jobs and volunteered at children's camps, but those experiences only confirmed that parenthood wasn't their calling.

Carmen, who has been candid about their shared struggles with endometriosis pain, said: "I have mad respect for parents, personally I would fail at it. So I'd rather not f*** up a little guy." The sisters, who both currently work with animals, were given just three days to live at birth. Since then, they've built a massive online presence, attracting hundreds of thousands of followers across social media platforms.

While they've cultivated a loyal and supportive fanbase, they sometimes encounter intrusive questions fueled by curiosity that leave them feeling dehumanized.

Daniel has previously discussed with People magazine the relentless questions they receive about intimate aspects of their relationship.

He noted that people are "obsessed" with the subject, stating bluntly: "And it is just like, frankly, it's none of your f*****g business."

Back in February, Carmen shared a collection of photos on Instagram featuring Daniel, accompanied by the affectionate caption: "My Forever Valentine."

This follows another conjoined twin who had been hiding a major secret from her sister - before revealing everything.

Some days there are posts that remind you how tough some people's lives are...and they still manage to live a good one. Need to remember this next time I complain about the little things day to day

Tldr: they are infertile and don't want kids anyway.
