My wife and I were at Zion back in 2023 and we decided to grab a quick snack before hiking the narrows. I hung my bag on a ledge and turned around when my wife asked me something.
As soon as I did, I heard something behind me, but there were a number of people there so I didn't pay too close attention. After maybe 20 seconds of talking to my wife, I turned around and this little fella/gal had helped themselves to my pack of crackers in my open bag pocket.
