In January 2024, the South Korean government unanimously passed a law banning the sale and production of dog meat. I visited Vietnam a few years ago and one of our tour guides told us that dog meat was not something you’d be served sneakily. It was considered a delicacy by a small subset of older people, and as such it was actually quite expensive. I felt a bit bad that she felt like she needed to tell us all that. I can only imagine that a lot of tourists asked her about it.
