ya'll this is blowing my mind. ever since i had any kind of political awareness, orban was prime minister and hungary was a corrupt, autocratic country. and now i see my country in international news in a positive light, as an example to be followed? it's like im living in a simulation, my whole world has been turned upside down. (it's lovely)

this happened because everyone rallied behind a guy who could beat the fascist, even if he wasn't perfect.
the equivalent to this is like if the democrats ran mitt romney or something and DSA and Jill Stein gave him their full support.
