'Game of cat and mouse' - former RAF pilot on the search for the missing pilot

Talking about the situation facing American forces today, John Peters tells Sky News that it will be similar to when he was shot down in 1991.

"It is a game of cat and mouse," the former RAF pilot says.

"The US forces have got to find their colleagues and they'll have the combat search and rescue squadron, effectively who will do that and plan how to get that person out, because as you can imagine the Iranians will be saturating the area as best they can because this is now a political game, because that gives them huge leverage."

Asked what the prospects for the missing pilot were, Mr Peters said the Americans were "unbelievably good" at combat search and rescue and would have huge resources behind the operation.

"My only thoughts at the moment are for that current air crew. Because they will be very aware of what they need to do and hopefully they will put their training to good use and (be) extracted.

"So that's my hope for them, but also for their families," he added.

One member of the two-man crew of the F-15 fighter jet downed over Iran is believed to be missing, while the other has been recovered.

Trump Administration has no cards.

They can’t bomb their way out of this problem, and they don’t know how to be diplomatic.

Iran is playing all or nothing game with Trump . It's literally forcing US to either wage full scale war or f*ck off. No middle ground .

This war might literally be Trump’s undoing, a country completely ‘defeated’ does not reject a temporary ceasefire that could allow them to reorient
