So this is a refinery for crude oil into gasoline and diesel fuel.

This is the second one in Texas to have an explosion and fire in a few months.

There are 131 oil refineries in the US. That’s really not a lot, considering the need in America.

Living in California, I’ve been following the story of the refinery in Richmond which keeps having problems. Evidently, the equipment is just old. Our energy infrastructure needed replacement about 40 years ago, and it sounds like these refineries need that as well. But all the infrastructure upgrades started under Biden have been cancelled by Trump.
