I may be one of the few who remember it but when the price of gas went over $1 per gallon (late 70/early 80’s?) the signs only went up to 99.5, so many stations had to put up a separate 1 like that. if/when gas goes above $10 a gallon, most stations will have to do that again.

Prices are Philippine Pesos. Prices are per liter. Using Google's currency conversion rates, this is approximately $7.82 USD/gallon. All in a country where the median household income is approximately $6000 USD/year.

98.40 Philippine pesos is $1.64 USD. This likely per liter though, which would be x4 for a gallon, or $6.56 USD per gallon.
