New citadel? He's owned 98% of it for like 14 years. I question the valuation of just a bit over a billion, it's worth a lot more. It's a little hard to get to, I went to the beach in the pic from Maui on a humpback whale and snorkeling day trip on a catamaran a long time ago.
Isn't that the Four Seasons on Lanai? That beach is a public beach. When all the locals come on the weekends, it looks like a helluva party. On the other side of the island is a pretty surreal shipwreck. And they have a Cat Sanctuary. Very chill place to visit. It is shit that Ellison owns it all, but I don't think there are many places that aren't accessible to the public (other than the resorts).

This "private island" of course, happens to be the Hawaiian island of Lāna'i, the sixth-largest island in the archipelago.
Always thought that was crazy. I really don't think one single person should be able to do that.
