If "proteinmaxxing" hadn't gone far enough, Buffalo Wild Wings is introducing a new protein-forward menu item that may turn heads.
Just in time for National Espresso Martini Day on March 15, Buffalo Wild Wings is releasing a wing-flavored Espresso Proteini. The cocktail is infused with Buffalo Dry Rub and jampacked with 10 grams of protein, according to a Buffalo Wild Wings news release.
The Espresso Proteini rides the ongoing protein hype, as more food chains and brands add protein-centric items to their menus. In recent months, Starbucks added several protein lattes and protein cold foam, Subway unveiled Protein Pockets, Chipotle debuted a 4-ounce cup of meat and Tropical Smoothie launched new drinks with up to 39 grams of protein.

What's in a Buffalo Wild Wings' Espresso Proteini?
The Espresso Proteini is made with classic espresso martini ingredients, plus Muscle Milk Protein Powder, Buffalo Wild Wings President Tristan Meline told USA TODAY via email. The cocktail is infused with Buffalo Dry Rub, which is also served around the drink's rim.

Buffalo Wild Wings' Espresso Proteini is available at participating locations Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 15.
How much does Buffalo Wild Wings' Espresso Proteini cost?
The Espresso Proteini is $12 on its own or available with a 6-count of boneless wings for $20, according to a Buffalo Wild Wings news release.
