UK Maritime Agency Reports Cargo Ship Hit by Projectile In Strait Of Hormuz, Fire On Board
The UK Maritime Trade Operation Center (UKMTO) has reported an attack on a cargo ship in the Strait Of Hormuz, sparking fires on board. The agency said that the ship was hit by an unidentified projectile.
The attack follows the US’s assurance that it will escort ships through the Strait of Hormoz as Iran vows to shut down the vital trade route. However, Iran has reportedly announced that any Arab or European country that expels the Israeli and US ambassadors will be granted free passage through the Strait

On Tuesday, the US central command had claimed that it has eliminated multiple Iranian naval vessels, including 16 minelayers near the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier, the white house had denied that the US military escorted an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz shortly after Energy Secretary claimed the same in a social media post. The Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the US has not escorted any tanker in the Hormuz, sparking contradictory statements from the officer bearers.
