Is this a legit pic? Something isn’t right here. A healthy eagle absolutely would not just hang around under normal circumstances. Also I think since eagles are protected you are not supposed to be within a certain distance of them.

Ever since I first learned of this quote from a letter of his it’s what comes to mind now when I see an eagle. I personally still think Bald Eagles are pretty gnarly.
