My wife and I first noticed 2 holes in our car's rubber seal a few months ago. Yesterday a 3rd hole appeared. It wasn't the kids, it wasn't a mouse. Turns out it was my wife's handbag hook catching onto the rubber while strapping our daughter into her seat - caught red-handed! She's also turned the hook on her handbag around so it's facing inwards now. We both burst out laughing when we saw the little piece of rubber stuck in the latch.
Lol, same thing happened to me with my messenger bag. I realized it happened right away when I leaned away from the car. Flipping the hooks around so the spring catch is pointing in stopping it from happening again.
