I realize that no one person is ever perfect, human nature applies to everyone. But it was really nice having a kind, respectful, thoughtful, and encouraging president in the White House.
One of Obama's aides later disclosed that he had gone to Sandy Hook and met with all of the parents who wanted to see him, one on one. Obama had to take long "bathroom" breaks between each family and the staff kept telling him he could leave but he refused. One mother lost it and was screaming and flailing at him and he waived off the Secret Service and stood there and let her scream.
I dont think I could've done it. I know many of our other presidents could not have handled that level of pain being launched at them.
