Astronomer here! I’ve been seeing reports from colleagues about the northern lights tonight as far south as Kentucky and Colorado. If you have a clear sky go outside and look!
You want to get away from lights if possible and have a good view north. Note the lights aren’t static and will come and go, if you see nothing check again in a half hour. Camera will always see more than your eye so expose on sky a bit if you’re not sure what you see.
