I wonder how much playing on a board like this would affect an expert chess player or even a grandmaster. It has to throw something off in their strategizing, maybe.
Chess II. I had this board in the 80s. It's just a regular chessboard with misshapen spaces. Definitely makes it harder to tell what's going on. Which is why I don't think it lasted long.
