Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, remains a hotspot of heavy fighting as Russian forces try to break into the city.

Pune: Doctors at a private hospital in the city successfully operated on a 10-year-old girl to remove 280-gram mass of hair and cotton threads that had extended from her stomach into the small intestine and even into her gallbladder.The girl was diagnosed with Rapunzel syndrome, a rare disorder where swallowed hair (trichophagia) forms a tail-like mass extending from the stomach into the intestines.

"She had been experiencing intermittent abdominal pain for nearly ten months, with no relief from conservative treatment," Patil said.

"While recurrence is rare, it is possible, especially if the psychiatric disorder remains untreated, in about 10–20% of poorly managed psychiatric cases. »
