While I mourn these views and miss being able to see the action unencumbered when sitting that close, the extended nets were absolutely needed. People were getting smoked with 100 mph+ balls and getting some pretty horrific head/face injuries.

Reminds me when NHL put up nets back in 2002. Brittanie Cecil died from injuries from a deflected puck.
