In a few weeks 11/11/2025 marks the 80th anniversary of Veterans/Remembrance Day. This photo hit me quite hard this morning. I figured we could all use a reminder
The crosses all face west towards their home while they rest in foreign soil
They paid the ultimate price defending a cause they believed in - halfway across the world

My Dad (Air Force Vet) and I went here during a vacation/WW2 trip.
It’s…. Damn, it’s hard to put into words.
You stand at one end and you see a sea of crosses with a few stars that break the monotony. I’ve been to Arlington. This is different.
We got there just as taps started to play. My dad started to cry. It hits you that this cemetery could be much larger than it is now.
