Did people think this was funny, or simply not understand the gravity of the situation, or didn’t think he was serious, or want to lose liberties & have a dictator, or just plain stupid? I wish I understood why. Granted there may be other reasons.

The Twenty-second Amendment states, "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice"
