Not to diminish the astounding heroism of the men in this group, but fighting the Japanese wasn’t anti fascist, it’s anti hypernationalist and imperialist with a side of protecting British and French south seas colonial power and revenge for the attacks on Pearl Harbor? There’s nothing about the Japanese involvement in ww2 that was fascist. They were a nationalist imperialist theocracy (emperor as god), who believed they had the Mandate of Heaven to control east Asia, their war had nothing to do with fascism in any way.
