Ukraine Preparing to Launch Stormtrooper Units Within Days, Zelenskyy Says — UNITED24 Media

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared insights into the success of Ukraine’s stormtrooper battalions and regiments, which have demonstrated strong results throughout 2025. He emphasized that Ukraine is formalizing these forces through a legal framework, statement made during President’s meeting with press on Sweptember 20.

Reflecting on Russia’s actions, Zelenskyy mentioned that Russia has decided to establish its own stormtrooper units, similar to Ukraine’s initiative. He stated that preparations are underway, with full operational readiness expected within the next week to ten days.

“We will now form separate assault troops, this decision has been made. Everything is being prepared now, and I think that in about a week or ten days, everything will be up and running,” Zelenskyy said.

These modern stormtrooper units, equipped with drones and advanced capabilities, will work alongside Ukraine’s Airborne Assault Forces (DShV) to carry out crucial missions.

Previously, it was reported that Ukrainian forces have disabled and flooded a massive underground pipeline that Russian troops were using to move supplies and personnel near Kupiansk.
