If the venue is an exhibit of the military, I am sure there are photos of other boys/ men posing with the same launcher. That is why/ how many soldiers are recruited. Young men who had an interest in military stuff from a very young age.
I'm not a gun nut or anything. But, if someone said to a 12 y.o. me, "hey, you wanna hold a racket launcher for a picture?" It's would be hard to say no.
