SEA is basically going through its own version of the Arab Spring because taxpayers have had enough of these corrupt politicians. Things are bubbling over in the Philippines as well now, to the point where South Korea has withdrawn its 7B loan to them for bridge projects because they fear it'll just be pocketed by the government.
