What a crazy angle this foto is taken from. SoL and Empire State are pretty far appart, yet seem so near in this foto. Was that taken from Staten Island?

After checking on Google Earth, I think this was taken from about here:
40°40'08"N 74°03'55"W
Near the end of the Bayonne container terminal.
