John and his friend were camping near a lake during one of their last nights of summer break. Four neo-nazis, aged between 15 and 18, came to the spot. John had been on bad terms with one of them, who had threatened John during the school year.

The nazis started beating John, and tried to make him say he loved nazis and heil. John refused. He managed to get away by swimming in the lake, but after the nazis held his friend hostage John came back to protect him. They proceeded to kick John in the head for several minutes, before throwing him into the lake.

When his body was found, he was unrecognisable due to the severe beating. According to the doctor who performed the autopsy, while he may have been alive once he was thrown into the lake, he would likely have died from his injuries. After his death, his grave has been vandalised several times. He was his parent’s only child.

and to add to it all 4 got light sentences... jesus christ.

'In court, the 18-year-old boy who was the main person behind the abuse, Daniel Hansson, was sentenced to eight years in prison for murder. He was released on 1 January 2001. Mikael Fjällholm, the 15-year-old, was sentenced to prison (which in Sweden is a rare thing to happen to a convicted teenager). The two others, John Billing and one more known only as BM were sentenced to ten and four months in prison for assault and not alerting authorities to the ongoing assault and murder, respectively.'

plus the main dude, should maybe have been away for a lot longer until he was not a neo-nazi piece of shit.

'Murderer Daniel Hansson had previously stabbed a man in an earlier crime as a juvenile offender and was a teenage alcoholic.. Daniel Hansson was sentenced after his release for more crimes, including abusing and beating his then-girlfriend.'

I remember this very well. It was in a very rural area, very peaceful. This was so completely out of the ordinary. It was truly nightmarish. I spent a lot of my life in Kungälv. It's not the kind of place you grow up with fear at all.
