JD Vance’s team had the army corps of engineers take the unusual step of changing the outflow of a lake in Ohio to accommodate a recent boating excursion on a family holiday, the Guardian has learned.

The Guardian first approached the USACE in Louisville for a comment about the change on Tuesday.

He added: “It was determined that the operations would not adversely affect downstream or upstream water levels.

“While there may well be security-related explanations or justifications that come into the analysis, my reaction is: I don’t care. »

Congress has just deleted Section 9 (and 10) from the website where it maintains the “Constitution Annotated” as a public service.

Section 9 includes eight different clauses, but likely the most relevant to the Republican leadership is the right of habeas corpus.

“The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it,” reads the Constitution. »

Shortly before noon on July 30, Ashcroft Fire was dispatched to a landscape fire burning 6 kilometers south of town, just off the east side of Highway 1.

Upon arrival, firefighters found employees from Dawson Road Maintenance, BC Hydro, and Ashcroft ranch hands already battling the blaze.

The fish had been dropped by a local osprey onto a hydro line, causing embers to fall into the dry grasses below. »
