It’s probably at the border in the Khunjerab Pass, Karakoram Mountains. When I crossed there years ago, when we got to the border, the Pakistani border guard (which rode in our bus from Sust to border) and the Chinese guard hugged each other in greeting. I got the vibe that the guards on both sides are just very lonely from the isolation and became friends.
