A federal judge in Florida has denied a Department of Justice request to release grand jury transcripts from the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.
This blocks an effort by President Donald Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi to quell criticism from the MAGA base over the administration’s handling of the files relating to the late sex offender and his death in custody.
The ruling comes as the president attempted to brush off “nonsense” claims surrounding the case and his friendship with Epstein, peddling a theory that former President Barack Obama manufactured evidence related to the investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard gave a presentation at the White House press briefing on the allegations, calling the investigation into Trump’s 2016 campaign a years-long “coup” orchestrated by the former president, something that Obama dismissively rejected in a rare statement this week condemning the Trump administration’s latest claims.
Meanwhile, newly uncovered photos by CNN shed light on Trump’s past ties to Epstein, including his attendance at the president’s second wedding in 1993 and at a fashion show in 1999, prior to the disgraced financier’s criminal charges. Reached for comment by the network, Trump hung up.

You know, the two videos I've seen of Trump with Epstein are the only times I've seen Trump truly laugh with pleasure. I thought it was only the once, but along comes this new video, and again, Trump has a genuine laugh with the man. Guess there's just something about Epstein that Trump just likes... oh, I remember it's when they're raping under-aged girls who are tied to a bed so they can't escape. Only girls who remind him of his daughter, so that narrows it down, thankfully. /s
