There are several theories floating that the corrupt goverment has equipped local criminals and hooligans with police gear and gave them permission to forcefully remove the people from the streets. There are videos giving strength to these claims where it is apparent that they lack any riot preventing skills like holding formation or remaining steady for long periods of time. There are also pictures of them wearing wrongly printed uniforms, fake badges or not even wearing any which is highly illegal in Serbia.
Only last night there were more than 70 arrests and well over a 1000 searches carried out on civilians, mostly students and kids. The youngest person arrested was only 15 years old.
The protests are peaceful - there are blockades in all the major cities in the main intersections. There is no rioting, looting or pillaging, no damaging of private, or any other sort of properties. Violence is solely and exclusively instigated by the police or parapolice units who run in with sticks and shields and attack anyone and everyone that stands in their way, including children and students, women and the elderly, proffesors and journalists.
Please help us spread the word. Our only goal is for the elections to be held cause the people are sick and tired of this autocratic dictatorship which is quickly sliding into open fascism.

I was in Serbia last year, a beautiful country with beautiful people. Belgrade was a lovely time, Guca trumpet festival was fucking mental.
