A great metaphor recently hit me. You know how one of the common ingredients in toothpaste binds to your taste receptors, and makes all food taste weird? I think certain forms of propaganda do something similar with what we care about, and even to what ideas words can be used to express.
How can we even talk about an innocent person facing unfair circumstances, when words like fairness, equity, injustice, traumatic, and marginalized are considered politically charged, and maybe even a little bit evil?

The destruction of words isn't just discouraging or banning their usage. But also diluting their usage to lessen their meaning.
Which we see in other things as well
