A lot of packaging seems like this, also the zipper-like strips that are supposed to open cardboard boxes but fall apart 20% of the way across. It's like companies don't have real people test any of this stuff first.
The ones I really hate are the zip lock style that almost always rip off the side of the bag they're attached to despite sticking a thumb down in there to hold it in place while you pull them apart.

These and those "tear here" bags that seem to have about a 50/50 chance of being sealed below where you're supposed to tear.
