For those that don't know, MoPop used to be EMP, the Experience Music Project and was 100% about music. The building itself was design to look on the outside like a giant broken electric guitar. Years later they changed it to MoPop to expand their scope to encompass more of where popular interests fall these days. They have a smaller SciFi wing as well as rotating special exhibits. They still have an amazing venue for live music performances

The MoPoP is unbelievable! Not 50 feet from this tower, is the actual Electric Lady Studio mixing board. Possibly the greatest museum I’ve ever been to. RIGHT NEXT to it, is the Chihuly glass gardens and museum. A bizarre world of the impossible.
