It’s a pretty life changing experience. Everyone should endeavor to go see it (as a reminder of our past generations collective sacrifice). Puts a lot into perspective, especially now that the world is heating up again…

Here in France, our schools often have a trip organised during secondary school, to visit the beaches of Normandy and, of course, the Allied cemeteries. It's a moment I remember like it was yesterday. Very moving, especially when you realise that they were just a few years older than you.

The way the French honor these veterans is absolutely beautiful and so very touching. The Best Defense Foundation brings veterans to Normandy each year. Watch the video.
