My step-son’s father (and family) are members of Church of God. They still do shit like this.

Meanwhile me and the kid are playing the new season of Diablo 4 together.

I remember back in the 90s when my mom put me in a Christian school, they would flip out over Harry Potter and D&D. Narnia apparently was okay though.

We have a "family member" who said he would never let his kid read Harry Potter because it taught "Witchcraft". I said, " Well, Witchcraft isn't really a thing, though." and he asked me what I meant.

"There no ACTUAL thing called Witchcraft where people call do spells where magical things happen. That's not a real thing."

Then this 48 year old father of 2 said to me, "There absolutely is, and it's got a dark hold on you."

That was 6 years ago. I actively avoid that side of the family now.
