A ceasefire between India and Pakistan hung in the balance this evening, hours after the two nuclear-armed powers agreed to halt days of escalating hostilities.
President Trump announced the truce on his Truth Social network, and Pakistan’s prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, said Trump had played a “pivotal and paramount role” in the negotiations.
But shortly after the ceasefire began, blasts were heard in Srinagar and several other parts of Kashmir. It was initially unclear where the explosions came from or where they were being directed.

Images on Indian television showed projectiles and drones in the sky, with most being intercepted by Indian defence systems. Vikram Misri, the Indian foreign secretary, said Pakistan had violated the ceasefire and that the Indian army was retaliating.

Political opinions aside, right now trump is the most unreliable leader out there, 99% of his declarations are either not making any sense to begin with or proven to be false or exaggerated pretty fast that it's just sad. The second I saw his announcement earlier today that India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire, I knew that he's just rushing to declare so he will look good and that it's not necessarily true. (Just to be clear - I'm not saying that it's his fault that the ceasefire didn't held up, just mentioning that everything he's involved with directly or indirectly becomes a farse really fast).

First Trump claims credit for something he had no involvement in, now that thing he claimed credit for has lost its credit-worthiness.
