“Trump tells me—and this is a very serious guarantee—that Russia won’t touch Ukraine. We are partners here, and we will defend this with all our strength,” Zelenskyy said.
The Ukrainian president added that during his conversation with the American president, he reminded him that “some of the minerals are near Pokrovsk,” where active fighting is ongoing.
$30 billion by the end of 2025
“There is $15 billion for 2025 according to decisions made by Congress a year ago. That’s a $15 billion package for 2025, including weapons. There’s also another $15 billion, which they were spreading out for 2026. The question is whether this money will actually reach you or not. And it’s a lot of money—$30 billion. The question is whether, thanks to the newly created Fund, it’s possible to move the $15 billion for 2026 up to 2025, for example, to the second half, and get $30 billion worth of weapons for 2025 and 2026, but get them now,” Zelenskyy explained.
He said this $30 billion would be the American contribution to the Reconstruction Investment Fund.
“And Ukraine will then gradually contribute its half to this Fund, and that’s the agreement,” Zelenskyy concluded.

'trump says' is the clearest indication that an outright lie will follow.

its an assumption trump made before - in that, Russia will not want to attack, not because of fear of repercussions, but because of respect for the U.S.
This is likely to be as incorrect as previous assumptions about Ru by Trump.
Trump forgets that Putin has been around since the days of George W. He has survived the U.S through the administrations of George W Bush, Bill Clinton, Obama, Trump, Biden and will do so with Trump v2. Any russian worth his salt knows that U.S policy today isn't the same as U.S policy tomorrow and so deals are not possible.
