Back in college, there was one street where a dog would hop out of a window, and onto the roof so they could bark at people passing by.
Eventually, the dog was colloquially referred to as "Roofdog". When you passed by, and it came out on the roof, we'd all wave and be like "Ay, Roofdog!". Roofdog got used to it, and would bork a little bit before going back inside.
