Rolling in

After descending a few hundred feet from the summit of Mount Timpanogos (11,780') I took a 15min break at the saddle and let a few long exposures roll. The lightning was pounding to the west and headed right for me, not exactly the best time to be above the tree line. I abandoned my plans of camping and within the hour bolts were cracking overhead as I made a long, wet, and terrifying dash down the 7+ mile trail with a full pack.

This composite image was taken over the course of 12min. 35 photos total ranging from 8 - 15 seconds each as the light faded.

Mount Timpanogos is in Utah.
