Hackman, 95, died of cardiovascular and Alzheimer's disease likely around Feb. 18, about one week after his wife died from a rare syndrome, hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, on about Feb. 11, officials said.

Hackman was likely home with his deceased wife for one week before he died, Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza said.

Trudeau announces $37B in child care deals with 11 provinces and territories

Trudeau said that while any government can undo the work of a previous government, Canadians can ensure child care survives if they are "very clear on the need to keep this going.".

Discussions between the Trudeau government and the two provinces that have not signed an agreement are continuing.

As part of the agreements struck with the provinces, the Liberal government paid $6 billion to Quebec, which already had its own child care program. »

“We love you, and we’re coming up to get you, and you shouldn’t have been up there so long,” Trump began.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says the province will charge an extra 25 per cent on electricity going to the United States as of Monday.

Ontario will charge 25 per cent more for electricity shipped to 1.5 million Americans starting Monday in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs, Premier Doug Ford said Thursday.
