US Rep. Jasmine Crockett praised as ‘national hero’ after 2-word response to Elon Musk question

U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, is not one to shy away from speaking her mind, and she certainly did not stutter when asked about her opinion on Elon Musk.

When speaking to reporters on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, Crockett was asked what she’d say if given the chance to speak directly to the SpaceX CEO.

Without hesitation, Crockett said she’d tell Musk to “fuck off.” Amid several laughs from bystanders, someone in the background can be heard telling Crockett, “Well said.”

Musk is senior adviser to President Donald Trump and is spearheading federal workforce cuts through the Department of Government Efficiency, although the White House claims Musk has no actual authority to make government decisions himself.

The video of Crockett’s pointed response is currently making its rounds on social media, with the account Call To Activism sharing the clip on Instagram and X. People are calling Crockett a “national hero” for her response.

“She never disappoints! Love her,” commented one Instagram user, while another wrote, “I feel certain she speaks for a large percentage of this planet and most of Mars ....”

Musk recently shared his hopes of dying on Mars: “But not on impact,” he clarified.

A different Instagram user called Crockett’s reply “the absolute only possible response.”

Someone else suggested she run for president.

Crockett made waves in May 2024 after facing off with U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Georgia, during a House Oversight Committee hearing. This led to someone turning Crockett’s words directed at Greene into a diss track.

The Texas congresswoman traded verbal blows with U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace, R-South Carolina, in January after Mace seemingly took offense to the phrase, “Chile, listen.” This led Crockett to drop a merch line.
