French President Emmanuel Macron interrupted President Donald Trump Monday at the White House as the U.S. president was saying, “Europe is loaning the money to Ukraine. They’ll get their money back.”
Putting his hand on Trump’s arm, Macron corrected: “No, in fact, to be frank, we paid 60 percent of the total effort: it was through, like the U.S., loans, guarantees, grants. We provided real money, to be clear.”
EDIT: to express it clearly, Europe paid 60% of the bill so far, but they didn't want to carve up Ukraine, so they neither them nor Ukraine got a seat at the table when USA and Russia did their Molotov-Ribbentrop pact.

Now that's a full time government job with no layoffs.

I'm surprised musk hasn't sent an email to all of France's government workers asking what 5 things they did this week.
