Nearly half of British survey respondents believe their government should prioritize supporting Ukraine over preserving good relations with the United States, according to London-based polling firm YouGov, with 48 percent holding this view.

In contrast, 20 percent think it’s more important to maintain strong ties with Washington, while 14 percent disagreed with both options, and 18 percent were undecided.

Support for Ukraine is strongest among Liberal Democrats (65 percent), followed by Labour Party supporters (61 percent) and Conservatives (50 percent).

Supporters of the Reform party, backed by U.S. entrepreneur and the world’s richest man Elon Musk, are more focused on U.S. relations, with 47 percent prioritizing ties with Washington over Ukraine, which 28 percent considered more important.

The survey, conducted on Feb. 20, included 5,268 adult participants from Britain.

Notably, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has pledged to act as a “bridge” between Washington and Europe ahead of his next week visit to the White House.

He plans to stress to the U.S. the importance of preventing a new Russian invasion of Ukraine once the war ends.

Additionally, Starmer is expected to present U.S. President Donald Trump with a plan to deploy around 30,000 European peacekeeping troops to Ukraine.

I worry about the other 50%. Any sane person should be against my country right now, just like any sane person should be against Russia.

The rest of the world should be treating the United States as a security risk now. I have no doubt Trump will try to leak secrets to NATO's enemies. He will do everything he can to sabotage and he already is doing that.

Good looking out UK. Please lead Europe to resist this unfortunate manifestation of cowardly and ignorant power lust in America.
