So, I'm not American and I know there are many more non-Americans who might not know who Ruth Bader Ginsburg was, so...here is SOME context if you are out of the shower and found the kitchen burning:
RBG was a mostly liberal judge that focused heavily on women's rights. Conservatives disliked her a lot, and she decided to NOT renounce or allow someone with maybe her similar ideals sit on her seat; during the Obama administration, she was offered to retire and be replaced by another Judge of a similar political view. RBG denied this offer, SUPPOSEDLY (some people say she wasn't offered to retire, but just got asked about it), and died on the job.
This made it impossible for her to be replaced by another Judge that maybe went for her same views or ideals, which would be the ideal goal so at least there is always a liberal/leftist Judge to keep tabs on any politics that the Government want to put out for voting.
That's why many comments mention her death and her age, and her stubbornness to maybe step down and let a similarly politically aligned Judge step in. It absolutely gave way to many of the problems going on in the United States, and set back any progressive actions RBG made.

She fucked us.
Edit: a life time of work wasted by not quitting when she should have and being replaced by what she fought against.

RBG is a prime example of how age affects good people and their decision making. We need term limits on all positions of power in government.
