Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) took on her X social media account to criticize Tom Homan, President Donald Trump's border czar, over his comments on a "Know Your Rights with ICE" webinar that she hosted on her Facebook page.
On Feb. 12, Ocasio-Cortez hosted a webinar which advised attendees of arrest trends by ICE in New York and explained what rights they have during raids by the immigration agency. A day later, during an interview with Fox News, Homan said he is working with the Department of Justice to determine whether the webinar impeded the Trump administration's immigration enforcement efforts.
In a short response, Ocasio-Cortez mocked Homan's remarks by suggesting he should read the U.S. Constitution before making any claims. "Maybe he can learn to read," she wrote of Homan. "The Constitution would be a good place to start."

During the Feb. 13 interview, Homan suggested Ocasio-Cortez could be "in trouble" for hosting the webinar, which he labeled as "impending" Trump's immigration efforts.
"Is that impeding our law enforcement efforts? And if so, what are we going to do about it? Is she crossing the line?" Homan asked.
"So, I'm working with the Department of Justice and finding out. Where is that line that they cross? So, maybe AOC's gonna be in trouble now," he added, while also threatening to pull federal dollars from states that do not comply with deportations.
Despite the criticism received, Ocasio-Cortez defended her efforts to educate migrants on their rights by sharing multiple graphics on her X account, offering advice to undocumented immigrants.
"Believe it or not, in America EVERYONE has rights," Rep. Ocasio-Cortez wrote. "Citizen or not, we all should know our rights to protect ourselves and others from illegal search & seizure."

ICE often attempts to enter homes without a proper warrant. They can go get one.

Ocasio-Cortez has been extremely critical of the Trump administration's mass deportation plans. She was among a group of Democrats to declare Trump's executive order, which seeks to take away birthright citizenship from children of undocumented immigrants, unconstitutional.
Rep. Ocasio-Cortez is not the only elected official to receive critiques from Homan. Earlier this month, Homan threatened to "seek prosecution" against New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy over rumors the governor let an undocumented immigrant stay in his home.

The audacity the Border Tzarina has to say AOC is impeding the law, when he is using legal leverage over the NYC mayor to make him comply with ICE raids and the raid of their treasury, is unbelievably cartoonish.

Right now this admin thinks they can get away anything. I’m hoping they find out soon there is a limit, and I think trying to take AOC down will bring people quicker to that limit.

She'll be arrested within the calendar year.
Yes - on made-up bullshit charges.
