Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) repeatedly used the word "tranny" during a House Oversight Committee hearing Wednesday.

This came as Mace is pursuing a resolution to ensure only biological women are allowed in female restrooms.

Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) called out Mace for using the word, saying it is "considered a slur in the LGBT" community before he was interrupted by Mace repeating the word over and over again.

"You want penises in women's bathrooms, and I'm not going to have it," Mace said.

Mace expressed her passion behind the effort comes from her experience as a rape survivor.

Hold the line on National Girls & Women in Sports Day—and every day," Mace wrote in a post on X. »
