For the youngsters just coming into politics, Fox News used to be the predominant right-wing mouthpiece. Literally in its founding documents from Roger Ailes (and worked as a media consultant for Nixon & Reagan), it was, "To put Republicans on television."
Then after the Trump era, there was a disagreement in how Trump played the propaganda game and a decentralized network of propaganda happened, along with a split with OANN and Newsmax being a completely new level of bullshit.
Everyone is going crazy because mostly rich white conservative men control the vast majority of media the average person in America sees.
