Students of Serbia initiated these protests against government corruption after the roof collapse incident at Novi Sad train station, which killed 15 people.

The protests are largely against the endemic corruption, political interference, fraudulent elections, and severe restrictions on independent media.

Amid this massive wave of protests, Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic has resigned. The minister of construction, transportation, and infrastructure and the trade minister have stepped down.
