Right to due process of law. Protection against self-incrimination. Protection from double jeopardy (being tried twice for the same offense). Just compensation for government seizure of private property (eminent domain).
Sixth Amendment:
Right to a fair and speedy trial. Right to legal counsel. Right to confront witnesses. Right to an impartial jury.
Eighth Amendment:
Protection against cruel and unusual punishment. Protection against excessive bail and fines.
Fourteenth Amendment:
Guarantees equal protection under the law and due process for all persons within the U.S.

I think we need to move past thinking that these magical pieces of paper that correctly identify the law means anything.
You can have as many pieces of paper you want while they’re loading you onto the trains, laws only matter if they’re enforced.
