Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, passed away at the age of 100 on December 29, 2024.
Known for his leadership and humanitarian work, Carter’s life will be celebrated with a series of ceremonies and tributes.

To honor Carter’s contributions to the nation, a state funeral will be held in Washington, D.C., on January 9, 2025.
His body will then be transported to Atlanta, where a moment of silence will be observed at Georgia's state capitol.
Following the state funeral, his casket will return to Georgia for a service at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, where he taught Sunday school for decades.
